Administrative Assistant
The Mel Bornstein Clinic for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy is looking for Licensed Therapists for our Farmington Hills and Ann Arbor offices, as well as teletherapy.
Required Qualifications:
Licensed or Limited License to practice in the State of MI (must be in good standing with LARA)
Previous experience providing psychotherapeutic services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to establish and build therapeutic alliances
Some knowledge of psychodynamic/psychoanalytic therapies and interest in practicing from these modalities
Technological experience necessary for navigating the electronic health record, secure email system and telehealth platform.
The ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
Ideal Qualifications (not all must apply but preference will be given to candidates who meet one or more of the below specialties):
Experience and interest in treating children and adolescents
We are receiving many referrals and will work to grow your caseload to the level you desire, with the patient population you desire. We provide weekly one-on-one supervision with a graduate analyst of the Michigan Psychoanalytic institute at NO COST to the therapist. A minimum commitment of 10 hours a week is required, but more hours are encouraged and available.
This position is ideal for those clinicians who are interested in practicing psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy and who are looking to join a collaborative team of therapists at a clinic that provides ongoing training and strong clinical support.
Job Type: W-2, full or part time

Pay: Fee split based upon number of patient hours per week (averaged quarterly)

PART TIME MEDICAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT needed for 20-25 hours per week at The Mel Bornstein Clinic, a small, non-profit mental health clinic with two office locations, the primary location in Farmington Hills and a secondary site in Ann Arbor. In this role, you will provide billing support, insurance verifications, scheduling of patients, and other administrative support functions to psychiatric and clinical staff.
This position is hybrid, with most work occurring in office with the opportunity to work remotely based on the workflow and current office needs.
Ideal qualifications:
Strong people skills, ability to work well on a team
Organized and reliable
Clear communication with both patients and clinical staff
MS Office Proficient, ability to learn Electronic Health Record, Zoom and other software programs used at the Clinic
Prior experience with insurance verifications and/or other aspects of medical billing
Prior experience in a medical setting
